A hapless biker’s search for adventure.
Critically acclaimed author Kevin Turner (Bonjour! Is This Italy? A Hapless Biker’s Guide to Europe) heads off on another ill-thought out adventure, aiming his heavily laden Kawasaki north towards the towering waterfalls of Norway, before heading east on a long and treacherous journey to Moscow. This fascinating adventure - part sprint, part marathon - charts the perils, pitfalls and thrills of a 6000 mile solo motorcycle journey across Europe, Scandinavia and into Asia. The author's observations and anecdotes transform this motorcycle guidebook into a laugh-a-minute page turner, which inspires and entertains in equal measure.

In typically hapless fashion, Turner jumps on his motorbike and sets out in search of adventure. Heading north, he aims his heavily laden Kawasaki towards the massive Øresund bridge, and passes from Copenhagen into Sweden, then onto the majestic waterfalls of Norway. Turner then determines to visit St. Petersburg, a mere 1700km east, before heading back home to London, via most of Poland and a good deal of Germany.

Independent Reviews

Readers with a good memory will recall our review of Kevin Turner’s previous book, Bonjour! Is this Italy?, which followed his motorcycle travels around the nearer parts of Europe. This time the journey’s more ambitious, travelling from his south London home to Moscow, via Norway, and back via Poland.
Truck & Driver

Normally sequels do not have the same appeal as some of the things that made the original special are no longer there. But in this case, Turner has managed to do it again and create a real page turner that repeatedly puts a smile on your face time and time again ... Excellent
Ian Kerr, Freelance Reviewer

The beauty of this book is that it’s down to earth and from the heart ... this is a book for bikers by a biker.
But don’t assume that you have to own two wheels and wear leather to appreciate this book, the knowledge and observations in this work will appeal to anyone and would be particularly useful to those thinking of going on their travels.
A helpful checklist of documents you
need to enter Russia and a guide on exactly what to pack and why, make this a must-have travel accessory.
Burton Mail

A rollicking read ... This is simply entertainment and is every bit as inspiring as reading about a global odyssey, perhaps more so, as this can be everyone’s achievable dream ... will provide a lovely evening’s distraction and will probably make you think very differently about St Petersburg and Lithuania.

A light-hearted recollection of a road trip, with tips, kit reviews and hand-drawn maps included.
