Description

The development of the Fiat and Abarth 500 and 600 from the Topolino, through the Nuovo 500 to the modern Cinquecento - all in stunning colour.

Synopsis

Most Italians are crazy about children and crazy about style, so maybe it's not so surprising that they are also crazy about that very Italian small car, the Fiat 500. From the first model of 1936 - which was affectionately nicknamed Topolino, Italian for Mickey Mouse - there has been an emphasis on style, a concept often shunned by small cars from other countries.

Twenty years later the 'new 500' introduced the classic shape that became every bit as much of an obsession with the Italians as Ferrari and the scooter. The name and the concept live on - although under a very different guise - in the present-day Cinquecento and Seicento models.
